Yiannis Mukta Om

Yiannis

Yiannis moved to New York from a small island in Greece in 2002. Upon arriving, without knowing anyone, or even how to speak English, Yiannis found his way to his Guru, Sri Dharma Mittra.

In the presence of Dharma, Yiannis transformed his life and purified his body and mind, to reveal his true spirit. Under the constant guidance of daily classes with Dharma for over 10 years, Yiannis Mukta Om, received transmission of the teachings of yoga.

In 2013, after 10 years of devoted and dedicated daily practice, Yiannis Mukta Om, has been charged with sharing the teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra all over the world.

A devoted student of Self-Realization, as passed down to him directly from Sri Dharma Mittra, Yiannis Mukta Om, embodies the deep inner strength and playful nature of his Guru.

Yiannis Mukta Om is continuing his journey as the living example of the true essence of yoga. He is established in the ethical precepts, able to share all the tricks of the asana, qualified to pass on the techniques of pranayama, and able to to direct the student to go beyond the senses, the mind, and the intellect into deeper states of meditation and realization that he has cultivated from being by the side of Dharma for so many years.

Yiannis Mukta Om is prepared to serve.

Anna Reig

Anna Reig

I was brought to Yoga more than 10 years ago following a book that spoke about the importance of breathing. It was then when I started taking Hatha yoga classes. Experiencing the benefits of yoga led me to move forward, deepening through an intensive course of Hatha-raja yoga in Thailand. From this point onwards, yoga and meditation became my daily practice and way of life.

For the last 6 years I have shared everything I’ve learned in my path as a yoga teacher. Along my way, I have been blessed with the good fortune of crossing my path with great teachers. Among others, I was able to practice next to Sri Dharma Mitrra (Founder of the Dharma Yoga New York Center) or Andrei Ram (disciple of Sri Dharma Mitrra). I also studied Vinyasa yoga next to Inge Schöps, well-known author of the book “YOGA: Theory and Practice for Beginners and Advanced students” with whom I currently collaborate in some of her retreats as a co-teacher. From Inge I have learned the importance of applying and connecting the yoga practise to my daily life.
It was from the Master Sahajananda of the Hridaya Yoga School in Mexico that I discovered my passion for meditation as a karma-yogi. A practice that has helped me to complement and deepen in my personal path of self-discovery and self-realization. Indeed silence has teached me ways on how to live a life of plenitude.

Since I met my husband, Ioannis Andritos (disciple of Sri Dharma Mittra), 4 years ago, I practice and study with him Hatha Raja Yoga. From our practice together I have learned the importance of devotion and surrender.

Yoga and Meditation have completely changed my way of undersatnding and living my life, and help me to keep on gainning more clarity, peace and joy day by day. I continue learning and sharing yoga and meditation every day in the search to know who I am. I am honored that this path is also helping others to enlighten their way.

Formentera

Come and discover it for yourself

Formentera is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, the smallest of the Balearic Islands. A paradise spot known for its clear waters with turquoise tones and its long stretches of beach backed by fine white sand dunes and pine trees.

Formentera is 19 km long (north to south), surrounded by a coast of 69 km.  An ideal location where to get lost by bike or by walk, to discover incredible clifts, magic lighthouses, ground roads, greenways, and endless wooden-walkaways immersed in a soundscape dominated by the birds and sea waves. In Formentera, the senses are revived and the soul re-awaken. The perfect place where to reconnect with yourself, renew your spirit and enjoy the practice of yoga and meditation. Come and discover it for yourself.
